Hey guys! Did you miss Altitude this year? Here's what happened!
Contrary to the past, Altitude was held in the Oklahoma City area this year. Yes, I know the name “Altitude” is not too characteristic of Oklahoma City—especially compared to Winter Park, Colorado, where the conference was held its first two years. However, from a spiritual standpoint, it is fair to say that the conference climbed to an even higher elevation.

Packed with powerful spirit-led speakers, anointed worship experiences, and activities ranging from rock climbing to snow tubing, these IPHC youth had a blast. I know that the experiences and commitments made during the conference will positively impact these kids throughout 2012
The last night of the conference, held on New Year’s Eve, the directors hosted a special service that was a talent show of sorts. Talents included prayers, skits, testimonies, hip-hop dancing, musical performances, and everything in between. The greatest part of all was that each performance was centered on bringing glory to the King.
As midnight approached, we worshiped the Lord, and what an amazing way to spend the first moments of the new year! As the countdown began, everyone in the building began praying, thanking Him for the ability to be salt and light to the world during 2012—definitely an Awakening experience, and a night to remember.
Altitude
was a complete success! The Awakening interns and I were able to excite many
of the attendees about missions. The Awakening specifically promoted the
Panama trip scheduled for August 5-11, 2012. Many inquirers loved hearing
stories from previous mission trips, and they became ecstatic to create their
own! There is no doubt that God planted seeds in the hearts of many of those
young adults. After all, as a member of The Awakening, I feel a specific duty
to help “awaken” the call of “go and tell” to all people; whether it is
overseas or around the corner.
